My name is Ben Schwartz, I was a freelance writer for Saturday Night Live's Weekend Update and the Late Show with David Letterman's monologue. After two years of freelancing, a large number of my jokes made it to air. However, for every joke that was accepted there was a pile of jokes that were rejected. This is the story of those jokes...and more recently, other short films and projects I've been working on.
Here is the first episode of Adam Shaw the Mediocre Magician. This cartoon was rejected by Mad Magazine when I was freelancing with them a couple of years back. Thanks to Steve Dressler for his artistry, Gil Ozeri for his flash work, Pat Baer for sound and Dave Hill for the theme song.
