My name is Ben Schwartz, I was a freelance writer for Saturday Night Live's Weekend Update and the Late Show with David Letterman's monologue. After two years of freelancing, a large number of my jokes made it to air. However, for every joke that was accepted there was a pile of jokes that were rejected. This is the story of those jokes...and more recently, other short films and projects I've been working on.
Here is the first week of rejected jokes for December. The video includes rejected monologue and Weekend Update jokes from December '04 and '05. Thank you to Damon Ketron for December's theme music and of course Jamey Shafer for shooting and editing.

Great theme song this month. My favorite part was the repitition of the word Nouget. Nouget. Nouget. Its funny in so many ways.
Brian Miller likes your site, oh yes and Pudding, he's very fond of that as well.
