My name is Ben Schwartz, I was a freelance writer for Saturday Night Live's Weekend Update and the Late Show with David Letterman's monologue. After two years of freelancing, a large number of my jokes made it to air. However, for every joke that was accepted there was a pile of jokes that were rejected. This is the story of those jokes...and more recently, other short films and projects I've been working on.
Here is the fifth and final week of rejected jokes for January. The video includes rejected monologue and Weekend Update jokes from January '05 and '06. Special thanks to mcDJ for January's theme and Jamey Shafer for filming and editing everything.

Ben it's me again the kid who needs a chuckle...I feel as though we are drifting apart do you not love me anymore all I want is too make sweet sweet midnight love jokes with you all night long...is that so much to ask
