My name is Ben Schwartz, I was a freelance writer for Saturday Night Live's Weekend Update and the Late Show with David Letterman's monologue. After two years of freelancing, a large number of my jokes made it to air. However, for every joke that was accepted there was a pile of jokes that were rejected. This is the story of those jokes...and more recently, other short films and projects I've been working on.
Here is the first week of rejected jokes for March. The video includes rejected monologue and Weekend Update jokes from March '05 and '06. Special thanks to Steve Dressler for the picture, Jim Santangeli for the theme song, Jamey Shafer for filming and Luke Ward for editing.
