My name is Ben Schwartz, I was a freelance writer for Saturday Night Live's Weekend Update and the Late Show with David Letterman's monologue. After two years of freelancing, a large number of my jokes made it to air. However, for every joke that was accepted there was a pile of jokes that were rejected. This is the story of those jokes...and more recently, other short films and projects I've been working on.
Here are some alternate takes from the 2nd episode of Mayne Street. If robot on your suit doesn't become a homerun call on Sportscenter I will be devastated.
