Happiness Isn't Everything
To cap off what has to be the best month of my life, I was just cast in a hilarious TV pilot for CBS. They just broke the news on Hollywood Reporter thirty minutes ago. Here's the info they have released so far - the show is called Happiness Isn't Everything, it's written by the geniuses who created Arrested Development - Mitch Hurwitz and Jim Vallely.

It's being produced by Hurwitz, Vallely and the super producers Eric Tannenbaum and Kim Tannenbaum. The show revolves around a family of four which is comprised of me as the younger brother, Jason Biggs as the older brother, Richard Dreyfuss as our father and another cast member who is amazing and wonderful as my mother which they haven't announced yet.

I could not be more excited for this. It was my favorite script of pilot season and I'm truly honored to be working with all of these people. Here is the full article - Happiness Isn't Everything in the Hollywood Reporter.

aw yeah.
Congrats, kid! You deserve it!
This is fantastic, congratulations! (The article says you're the explosive OLDER brother -- who's right?)
Awesome - congratulations!
digging this
That's great!
Yeeeah!
Holy crap! That is so cool on so many levels. But for the sake of brevity. I'll just list two:
1. You totally deserve primetime exposure, being seriously funny.
2. It will be great to see something new from Mitch Hurwitz, whose Arrested Development was one of the funniest shows ever on TV.
Hey Benny, its Dax from out in Boise. I am family! Well, Jeremy's Dad is married to my Mom and your sister is married to Jeremy so what does that make us? absolutely nothing I suppose but...your sister does some great pr and has kept me abreast of your career updates since Day One. The Oscars were great and you, to be sure, will be great with Biggs! I always thought Daddy Mike (Reuling) kindof looked like Dreyfuss too. Weird. Anyways, go get em and Congrats! You are a riot and I am proud of you. DAX
Well with you as a main character in the show and the creators of Arrested Development making it, I couldn't be happier!!
Congratulations, Ben! I wish you great success and hope that it becomes one of the best shows on television which despite its acclaim will get tragically pulled from the lineup for no good reason after four seasons.
You'll probably be a big star and tired of it by then anyway...
you were funny 27 years ago and have gotten funnier and funnier
I saw the taping last night. It was very funny. Mary Steenburgen was the mother. I think Ben held his own with "Jason F@ck!ng Biggs"!
I went to the taping last night. It was cool! Showering in front of all those people takes guts.
They gave me the "Bio Hazard bag" as a parting gift. Is there any way I can get it signed?
Very funny show!
