I Will Be Co-Hosting a Simpsons Marathon Live Video Stream this Saturday!
This Saturday, August 23rd at 9:30AM (Pacific time), I will be co-hosting a live video stream with Simpsons writer Matt Selman to be watched hand and hand (eye and eye?) with the Simpsons marathon happening right now over at FXX. We will start at 9:30am and keep going till viewers get bored. This isn’t sponsored by anyone, nobody is getting paid, it’s just a bunch of people from the show and fans of the show getting together in front of a laptop to chat Simpsons because we love the show. There will be a barrage of special guests, actors/actresses, comedians, musicians and a flurry of people who have worked on the show in the last twenty five years. It will be part Director’s commentary, part crazy characters, part special guests and part insanity. Or it will be none of that because I couldn’t figure out how to work the live stream. Either way-
So grab a Duff, join the live stream and enjoy the marathon with us starting this Saturday AM. As we get closer to the date, I’ll post all the viewing info on my twitter account- www.twitter.com/rejectedjokes
Here I am making my return to Jimmy Pardo’s wonderful Never Not Funny Podcast! This was a lot of fun. It should be noted though that this was recorded on Monday, before we found out about the legend Robin Williams’ passing yet there are a ton of Robin Williams references in the episode. A lot of SHAZBOT! I didn’t want anyone to think we were being insensitive or question why we didn’t talk about his passing. It was because the news hadn’t gotten out yet. Jimmy explains the whole thing in the first two minutes of the show but in a way, those quick shazbot jokes turn into a nice unintentional tribute to Robin Williams who was an incredible influence on me and every other comedian in the universe. A few years back, I had the opportunity to perform in a show with the man in NY and he was just so incredibly talented and sweet and wonderful and kind and it makes me so sad that he’s not with us anymore. OK, sorry for bringing the mood down BUT with that being said, enjoy the podcast! (bad transition). Listen by clicking on the streaming link above or the photo below. If you are low on time, I come on at 42:00. Enjoy!
If I Were You Podcast: One Less Problem (Guest Hosted by Me)
Here I am, filling in as guest host with Amir Blumenfeld in Jake and Amir’s advice podcast “If I Were You”. Warning: If you are looking for something other than nonsense to happen in this podcast, you will be disappointed. BUT if you are looking for the horn section of Ariana Grande’s One Less Problem song, you have come to the right place.
A month ago, I was a guest on the Pete Holmes Show…and well…it was so fun and insane. The secret was there was more insanity to show but not enough time to show it in one episode. So, they split up the segment and last night aired the bonkers never before seen second half. This interview was so much fun. I love Pete and his television show and I’m sad that it’s ending it’s run but Petey H is immensely talented and he will find another way to take over the world and our hearts very soon. ENJOY THE INSANITY!
Last night, I was a guest on my wonderfully talented and warm friend Pete Holmes’ late night talk show “The Pete Holmes Show”. It was SO much fun! We just messed around the whole time doing bits that happened to be filmed on camera. There is even more of this wonderful interview which will air at a later date but for now watch us play the Psychic Game and recreate The Office in the two videos below!
Ladies and gentlemen…it’s happened…the apex of podcasting…a mother fucking SOLO BOLO episode of Comedy Bang Bang! For the first time ever (on purpose) Scott Aukerman welcomes only one guest on the podcast (me) and together they (we) perform the ultimate SOLO BOLO for an hour and a half! WARNING: Contents may break under pressure. Also, we are just the stupidest people in the universe. Enjoy!
New Extended Jean-Ralphio Scenes From the Amazing Parks and Rec Finale!
NBC has just released an amazing Producers cut of the hour long Parks and Recreation finale with extended and deleted scenes! It is amazing. Check out the new/extended Jean-Ralphio scenes below. Can’t wait to see what happens next season. I love this television show with every ounce of my person and am so honored to be a part of it.
Here I am on Pete Holmes’ glorious podcast “You Made it Weird”. We talk about all sorts of real life things and emotions, so buckle up and prepare yourself for a two hour tangential journey through two dumb dumbs’ brains. Listen streaming above or by clicking the photo.
This season of House of Lies has been incredibly dark and crazy for my character Clyde. As the season goes on, he gets more and more desperate and lost. Without spoiling anything to come (because there is some enormous shit that goes down this season) here are some scenes from the first and fifth episode with Clyde trying to crawl out of the quicksand and get back to his friends.
I was a guest on another edition of Doug Benson’s podcast- Doug Loves Movies. This time my fellow guests were the hilarious Rob Huebel and Rich Sommer. You can listen by streaming above or clicking any of the photos to download it on iTunes. Photo credit is unknown but much appreciated.
Here I am on Jake and Amir’s podcast “If I Were You.” The boys (who have over 600 shorts on CollegeHumor) started an advice podcast that is filled with jokes and real life discussions. For all the hardcore Jake and Amir fans, we also talk about the process in which the three of us develop our stupid shorts together. Hope you enjoy! Listen by streaming above or clicking on the photo below.
Here is my ninth appearance on the fantastic Comedy Bang Bang Podcast. This episode features host Scott Aukerman, me and Horatio Sanz as Groucho Marx’s grandson Coco Marx. Listen by streaming above or by clicking on any of the photos to download the mp3.
What to Expect From Clyde Oberholt this Season on House of Lies
Here’s a little bit of what to expect out of Clyde Oberholt this season on House of Lies via Zap2it’s Chris Hayner. Click on the photo below to get the full article. House of Lies premieres this Sunday at 10pm on Showtime.
Here I am as a guest on Sean & Hayes’ “Hollywood Handbook” podcast. What a treat it was to be around these two Hollywood moguls and really talk about the craft behind the art behind the actings. Sean Clements and Hayes Davenport are truly “two of the greats”. I come on at the 15:15 mark. Listen streaming above or click on the photo below.
The Long Form Improv Special "House of Lies LIVE" Premieres Online 12/30 and on Showtime on NYE!
I have very special news! I executive produced and acted in a special for Showtime that will bring LONG FORM IMPROV TO TELEVISION!
The special is called HOUSE OF LIES LIVE and combines improv newbies Don Cheadle and Kristen Bell with improv veterans from our television show- Josh Lawson, Ryan Gaul, Lauren Lapkus, Eugene Cordero and myself. We get a single suggestion from the crowd to create an entire long form improv show. Every word and idea is made up on the spot. No one knows what is going to happen next.
I have been performing improv comedy at the Upright Citizens Brigade Theatre in both NY and LA for the past ten years and it has been a dream of mine to get long form on television to show off the kind of stuff the UCB Theatres do on a daily basis. And the fact that I get to do this while highlighting how funny and amazing the cast of House of Lies is, is just a beautiful treat. I hope people are blown away by how talented this cast is because it’s remarkable how good they are for trying this out for the first or second time. And this group in particular had never performed on stage together before the cameras started rolling.
Showtime has been unbelievably supportive and wonderful throughout this entire process. House of Lies Live will premiere ONLINE on December 30th then have it’s big television premiere on NYE at 10pm on Showtime.
This special means a lot to me and any love the tumblr/twitter/facebook/instagram/comedy community could give to support this type show on television would be very much appreciated. If this goes well, who knows what comes next.
Check out some of the clips below from the special that airs in just one week!
